This morning we just received the following e-mail announcing we were number one in Customer Satisfaction by JD Power and Associates.

Coldwell Banker Earns Top Ranking from JD Power & Associates

Coldwell Banker recently ranked highest of all the national real estate brands in seller satisfaction, according to the Home Seller Survey from JD Power & Associates. President & CEO Jim Gillespie takes a moment to talk about this prestigious recognition.


The Company was founded on August 27, 1906 on the heels of the devastating 1906 fire and earthquake that leveled San Francisco. A young real estate agent, Colbert Coldwell saw the need for honest, knowledgeable real estate services to help the city rebuild. As the company grew, he hired Arthur Banker as a member of his sales staff. The two businessmen eventually formed a partnership, and in 1914 the real estate company known as Coldwell Banker was born.

The Coldwell Banker Golden Hammer Society is comprised of leaders in the Coldwell Banker system dedicated to advancing the mission of Habitat for Humanity in the local communities they serve. The members of the Coldwell Banker Golden Hammer Society are participating in the highest level of philantropic activity raising funds to build houses on behalf of Habitat for Humanity and the families they serve. In 2008 the participating Coldwell Banker affiliated companies raised $770,000 for local Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the United States and Canada.

coldwellbanker.com won the Standard of Excellence WebAward in the Real Estate Category The 2003 WebAward Awards were sponsored by the Web Marketing Association. The 7th annual WebAward competition for website development was the premier event where websites won awards and recognition competing head-to-head with other sites within their industry and against an overall standard of excellence.

The APEX Awards The APEX Awards competition, in its 15th year, was sponsored by Communications Concepts, a business communications publication. In the Internet and Intranet categories, there were 545 entries. The coldwellbanker.com site ranked in the top 10 percent, and won an APEX Award of Excellence. Entries were judged on graphic design, content and success in meeting communications objectives. The 2003 competition had more than 4,900 entries in 105 categories.

Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation-Websites/ External Communications The coldwellbanker.com site was a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation winner for the Interactive Communications: Websites/External Communications category. The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), New Jersey chapter gave the Pyramid Award to CBNet for its “Re-Introduction” for outstanding promotions and communication about the site itself including the many collateral pieces developed for the site. In addition, the New York chapter bestowed the Big Apple Award upon CBNet in the category of New or Newly-Designed Website.

61st Annual Association of Graphic Communications – The coldwellbanker.com site was the Showcase Winner from this professional trade organization representing graphic artists in the New York metro area.

International Web Page Awards The Certificate of Creative Achievement was given to the coldwellbanker.com site for creativity in graphic design.
